American scientists have taught a mini-brain developed by them in a laboratory, simple computer games. According to Report.ge, Futurism writes about it.

Scientists point out that the mini-brain has the speed of analyzing new information faster than many artificial intelligence models.

Researchers at biotech startup Cortical Labs have created a mini-brain made up of 800,000 brain cells. They placed cells on top of an array of microelectrodes that analyze nerve activity.

To help the mini-brain learn the game, the team created a simplified version of the pong game without an opponent. A signal is sent to the right or left of the array to indicate the location. Neurons from brain cells send signals back to move the ball.

Researchers have noticed that the mini-brain does not play as well as humans but learns faster than some artificial intelligence models.

The Cortical Labs team wants to use these discoveries to create sophisticated technologies.
