People have reportedly been evacuated from the residential building having been damaged following the explosion on Tevdore Mgvdeli Street. At this point, the representatives of rescue services and the corresponding departments of Tbilisi City Hall are studying the building and assessing its occupational safety. This information has been communicated to the journalists by the Special Emergency Situations Management Department Head Otar Kereselidze.
As per Didube District Governor Lali Chelidze, people have been evacuated from the building in which the explosion erupted, with them being taken to a hotel.
The explosion occurred on the fifth floor of a residential building on #38 Tevdore Mgvdeli Street at around 21:00. The fifth floor of the building was leveled to the ground. A 77-yer-old man was severely injured from the explosion; he was taken to hospital and placed at resuscitation department.
