Five people, four out of them children, died in a fire that hit a residential area in Tondo district in Manila on Sunday, Manila Times reports.
The Bureau of Fire Protection identified one of the victims as Jake Loyola, 37. The others who perished in the Parola compound's blaze were children aged 12, 10, 8, and 3.
Five others were injured, including a 9-year-old boy.
The fire reached the 4th alarm at 1:49 a.m. and was extinguished at 6:11 a.m.
