By order of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the country, Elmar Mammadyarov, resigned.
Instead, the president appointed Jeyhun Bairamov as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the country.
Before that, Bairamov held the post of Minister of Education of Azerbaijan.
