On May 9, for the 76th anniversary of the Victory over fascism, the heads of diplomatic missions and military attachés accredited to Azerbaijan of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) visited the Alley of Honor in Baku.
The diplomats honored the memory of the national leader of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev, and laid wreaths at his grave.
As Azerbaijani media outlets report, the memory of the outstanding scientist-ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva was also honored, and flowers were laid on her grave.
