European Union has reduced the list of "safe" countries that have permission to enter the EU member countries' territories.

The EU Council removed Morocco and Algeria from the list. The citizens of these two countries are now permitted to enter the EU countries only in urgent cases.

The Council left ten countries in the "safe" countries' list, including Georgia, Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Rwanda, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia, and Uruguay. The citizens from these countries are eligible to travel to EU member countries starting from August 8.

Citizens of the rest of the world countries can only cross the EU borders in cases of urgent necessity.
