The EU leadership sees no problem in maintaining sanctions against Russia amid the spread of coronavirus. European Commission spokesperson Peter Stano announced the news during a video briefing in Brussels.
According to him, restrictive measures would not prevent Russia from fighting coronavirus.
Last week the UN General Assembly blocked a draft of Russian resolution proposing to lift sanctions under the coronavirus pandemic. The United States, Ukraine, Georgia, the United Kingdom, and the European Union opposed the initiative.
