Ex-Prime Minister: Situation with COVID-19 in Armenia is terrible

According to the former Prime Minister of Armenia Hrant Bagratyan, the country's situation is the worst regarding the coronavirus.

"The situation is terrible—374 cases in one day. There are only two cases in Georgia. The number of infected people in Armenia is 6302, while in Georgia, the numbers are at 725, and in Azerbaijan - 3855. There are 217 cases per 100,000 people in Armenia, while numbers in Georgia are at 19, 38 in Azerbaijan, 183 in Turkey, and 165 in Iran".

According to the former prime minister, the passive attitude of state officials caused the country's current situation, which puts Armenia at risk of genocide.

According to Bagratyan, the death rate in Armenia is relatively low compared to the West, Iran, and Turkey. It is explained by vaccination and the absence of nursing homes in the country. However, this number increased recently. Bagratyan draws a parallel with Georgia and Azerbaijan here as well. According to the latest data, 77 people died in Armenia, while 58 got killed in Georgia and Azerbaijan.
