American car giant Ford and drone maker Argo AI have announced that they will launch self-driving taxis for users of the online taxi service Lyft, The Verge reports.
Residents of Miami will start using the new transportation at the end of 2021, and in 2022 the taxis will appear in Austin.
The project will include at least 100 Ford self-driving taxis. In the next five years, this number will increase ten times.
As a result of the project, Lyft will receive 2.5 percent of the shares of Argo AI.
