A peaceful protest rally in central Jerusalem, with hundreds of citizens demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, escalated into riots and clashes with the police.
As a result, five police officers got injuries, and 11 activists were detained.
Citizens of the country accuse Benjamin Netanyahu of corrupt deals.
Simultaneously, the demonstrators say the Prime Minister has failed to deal with the coronavirus pandemic in the country properly.
Snap parliamentary election is ahead in Israel in March. It will be the fourth early election in the past two years.
