Armenian President Armen Sarkissian has fired Arshak Karapetyan at the suggestion of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and appointed Deputy Prime Minister Suren Papikian in his place. The information is spread by the press service of the Presidential Administration.
"Following the PM's proposal, President Armen Sarkissian signed a decree dismissing Defense Minister. By other presidential decrees, Suren Papikian was removed from the post of Deputy Prime Minister and appointed on the post of the Minister of Defense," mentions the statement.
