NASA specialists were able to launch the Hubble Space Telescope.
Engineers tested the scientific instruments, and the telescope made its first observation on Saturday.
"Hubble has provided us with incredible views of space for three decades. I am very proud of the Hubble team; thanks to their dedication and thoughtful work, Hubble will continue its 31-year legacy and expand our horizons in terms of exploring the world," said the head of NASA, Bill Nelson.
On June 13, Hubble's main computer was shut down. Engineers are trying to repair it from the earth.
The Hubble Space Telescope backup payload computer was successfully brought online after a successful switch to backup hardware. Following a short checkout period, the science instruments will be brought back to operational status.https://t.co/Wca2Puz4mT
