The number of coronavirus infected people has increased by 6,529 and reached 72,247. The virus killed 872 people during the last day and night. The total number of deaths is 5,812.
Due to the lack of morgues and crematoriums, the dead people’s bodies are kept in the trading center in Palacio de Hielo, writes the German edition Süddeutsche Zeitung.
According to the edition, the Spanish developments are similar to those in Italy. Doctors work in a war regime and treat only those patients who have more chances to survive. Based on the information, the patients above 75 are not placed in reanimation blocks.
The Catholic Church issues new recommendations with regards to the funerals of the virus victims, limiting the number of funeral ceremony attendees to only close relatives.
The first coronavirus case in Spain was registered on January 20. The number of in-patients is 54,151.
