The first round of Presidential elections is being held in Poland today, Deutsche Welle spreads the information.
Based on the preliminary polls, the country's current President, Andrzej Duda, and his challenger, the leader of the opposition party and at the same time the city Mayor, Rafal Trzaskowski, have almost equal chances to win elections.
Reportedly, 40% of the interviewed supported the current President and 30% - his competitor.
Ten candidates to the post of the country President are participating in the elections this year. The first round of Presidential elections was planned for May 10 but was postponed amid the coronavirus pandemic.
