Snap presidential elections are taking place in Kyrgyzstan. Simultaneously, with the presidential elections, a referendum is being held on the government formation.
Presidential elections will be valid if one of the candidates gains more than 50% of the vote. Otherwise, a runoff will be announced.
According to a preliminary poll, former Prime Minister and Acting President Sadyr Zhaparov lead the presidential elections.
The referendum will decide whether the presidential government will resume in Kyrgyzstan.
The results of the referendum will be reported within 35 days.
