According to a resolution of the country's Cabinet of Ministers, those wishing to travel to Azerbaijan during the pandemic must meet certain requirements and obey the rules.
Passengers who have undergone testing on COVID-19 48 hours before departure will be admitted to the aircraft in case of a negative answer and the relevant document.
Testing costs are paid by the passengers themselves, although testing on domestic flights is free for Azerbaijani citizens.
Checking the documents and making the appropriate health record when entering the terminal is performed by the medical staff. Passenger registration and boarding is based on these documents.
During the border check, if the citizens of Azerbaijan fail to submit proof of testing, they will have to go through a two-week quarantine. Foreign citizens will be returned on the same flight at the expense of the airline.
Citizens of Azerbaijan and foreign countries who have a negative test result, or have been examined at the airport and have everything in order, do not have to go through with the two-week quarantine.
At a temperature of 37.5 or higher, passengers are taken to a medical facility. In case of coronavirus symptoms, for further examination, they are sent by special car to the appropriate medical facility, and the case is reported to the airline representative on which the passenger was to fly.
It is necessary to wear a mask on the territory of the airport and during the whole flight. In order to avoid overcrowding, transmitters and hosts will not be allowed in the terminal.
