Two strong earthquakes shook the province of Hormozgan in Iran. The magnitudes of the tremors were 6.4 and 6.3. As a result, at least one person was killed. Local media spread information about this.
A 22-year-old man was killed when an electric pole fell on him.
About 50 people were reported injured.
The epicenter was reported 60 kilometers southwest of Bandar Abbas port.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has instructed Vice President Mohammad Mokhber to travel to Hormozgan province. He ordered all relevant state bodies, officials, and ministries to conduct rescue operations as soon as possible and to study the situation in the quake-hit areas.
