U.S. Vice President Mike Pence received the COVID-19 vaccine during a TV show on Friday morning.
Pence became the first high-ranking White House official to receive the vaccine.
Earlier this week, he inspected a vaccine manufacturing facility in Indiana.
"I want all Americans to know that we did cut costs, but we did our best to invent this vaccine," Pence said.
The vaccine will be given to elected President Joe Biden next week.
It is noteworthy that the incumbent President, Donald Trump, has not yet received the vaccine.
