The government of Germany has installed the coronavirus-shaped illuminative decorations in streets and squares, DW reports.
DW says that the symbolic image of the coronavirus was used in one of the temples in Baden-Württemberg.
Before Christmas, various nativity scenes are set up in churches, streets, and squares in Germany.
The German tradition of creating such Christmas compositions, reproducing the Nativity scene, goes back to the Middle Ages.
As the German authorities decided, part of the restrictions will be lifted during the Christmas period. After the holiday, these restrictions will retake effect.
