Eleven works of Pablo Picasso's sold at auction for a record $ 110 million, according to the BBC.
The collection covers more than 50 years of the artist's work. 9 out of 11 works are paintings, and 2 are ceramics.
The most expensive of the works was "Woman with Beret" (1938), which depicts Picasso's muse Marie-Thérèse Walter. The painting sold for $ 40.5 million. Initially, it was estimated that its value would range from 20 to 30 million.
