Twenty-five films were added to the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress.
Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight" (2008), "The Blues Brothers" (1980), cartoon "Shrek" (2001) were among the films selected in 2020.
The National Film Registry, which has been operating in the country since 1989, includes images of "cultural, historical and aesthetic value" every year. Another condition for selection is that the film must be at least ten years old. At the moment, more than 800 films are stored in the registry in conditions that protect the tape and digital copies from spoiling.
