Within the framework of her working visit to France, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth of Georgia Tea Tsulukiani met with Louise Mushikiwabo, the Secretary-General of the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie.
The Ministry of Culture informed report.ge that the meeting focused on the close connection of Georgia with the French language and culture, which has a long history. The Minister suggested to the Secretary-General of the International Organization of La Francophonie that the organization be activated to support young Georgians who love the French language.
It was agreed that in the near future, the Secretary-General would send an expert to Georgia on behalf of an international organization to study the situation of the French language in Georgia together with the Ministry.
