Chairman of All Muslims of Georgia questioned at SSS

The Chairman of the Supreme Religious Administration of Georgia's All Muslims, Sheikh Mirtag Asadov, is being questioned at the State Security Service office.

According to the SSS, he is questioned on the fact of racial discrimination fact in the framework of the launched investigation.

For the information: State Security Service is investigating the fact of racial discrimination, i.e., racial strife and committed an act of national conflict aiming at the humiliation of national and ethnic dignity and honor, as well as direct discrimination by a person or a group of people based on a national and ethnic affiliation that is resulting in significant violation of rights. The crime envisages charges, according to article 1421, part 3, point a) of Criminal Code of Georgia.

According to SSS, a group of people is attempting to cause collisions between ethnic Georgians and Azerbaijani citizens, resulting in a violation of human rights based on ethnicity.
