Domestic violence in the Gurjaani municipality resulted in the death of an 8-month-old baby. A man (DOB 1985) detained after the incident has reportedly been charged. However, his lawyer says that the detainee refuses to plead guilty.
An eight-year-old reportedly died after domestic violence in Gurjaani yesterday. Husband, identified only as Z.Sh., subjected his wife (DOB 1996) to verbal and physical abuse. The woman held a baby in her hands, who lost consciousness during the conflict and died afterward.
The corresponding forensic examination is underway to determine the cause of the baby's death. Perpetrators of similar crimes are put behind bars for 4-6 years.
