Vakhtang Burdzenadze, the second person arrested in the case of 24-year-old Murad Tsurtsumia, has been formally charged.
According to the Prosecutor's Office, Burdzenadze was charged with Article 117, part 6, and Article 126 paragraph 1, subsection (b) of the Criminal Code. These articles refer to group violence and deliberate harm to health, which has led to the loss of human life.
Murad Tsurtsumia was killed at the cemetery in Tbilisi on January 2.
A special police officer has been arrested for the murder. He was remanded in custody by the Tbilisi City Court on January 7. The defendant pleaded guilty.
