According to the Ministry of Finance's Investigation Service, one of the pharmacies in Kutaisi, operating without state registration and a relevant permit, systematically sold psychotropic and specially controlled medicines to citizens without a prescription.
"The investigation revealed that in order to obtain a large amount of illegal income, the person exposed in the crime promoted the so-called pharmacy drug addiction.
As a result of investigative actions, a large number of various psychotropic drugs were seized.
The investigation launched under the first part of Article 192 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment for a term of one to three years," the investigation agency said.
