Within the framework of the Georgian parliamentary delegation's official visit to Turkey, the sixth annual meeting has been held between Georgia-Turkey-Azerbaijan Parliament's Foreign Relations Committees.

At the meeting, Nikoloz Samkharadze, the head of the delegation of Georgia, discussed the current developments in the region, the existing security challenges, and the three countries' role in coping with them. He placed special emphasis on the current situation in Georgia's breakaway regions, destructive actions by Russia, Black Sea security, and the importance of Georgia's integration into NATO as the only tool to strengthen security and stability in the region.

At the meeting, they also focused on different regional cooperation issues such as trade, energy, and infrastructure projects, culture, defense, security, environment protection, and relations between the nations. An emphasis was placed on the significance of cooperation between the legislative bodies and opportunities for furthering relations between the countries' parliaments. A possible implementation of new tools and formats was also discussed.

The countries once again reaffirmed their support for Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity and showed readiness to promote peace, stability, and security in the Black sea region and the region of South Caucasus.
