EU Ambassador to Georgia Carl Hartzell responds to the footage of the forced accommodation of the third President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, in the Gldani Prison Hospital.
"This is a very suspicious and unfortunate act," the diplomat said.
"I want to tell you that publishing footage of Mikheil Saakashvili is a very suspicious and unfortunate act, which does not help the situation. The purpose of releasing the footage was not to focus on Saakashvili's health and fundamental rights, on his privacy and respect for his dignity," said Carl Hartzell.
The Penitentiary Service has released footage of Mikheil Saakashvili being forcibly taken to the Gldani Prison medical facility.
