Chairman of the parliament of Georgia Archil Talakvadze has thanked Georgian servicemen for fulfilling their duties in "the global hotspot for military activity" in his social media post.
''NATO decided to gradually end its mission in Afghanistan before September 2021. Georgian military men are also set to leave the country together with NATO and return to their homeland.
I thank all our servicemen who have performed their duties in the global hotspot for military activity with dignity.
I do pay homage to heroes sacrificing their lives to ensure peace in Georgia and the entire world,'' Mr. Talakvadze wrote.
