"We look very closely at issues like this one in all of our partner countries," Christian Danielsson, the Personal Representative of the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, said while commenting on the case of "TV Pirveli."
"Freedom of expression and the media are crucial for the EU. This is important for countries within the EU as well as for countries outside the EU. As for private matters, private cases, I will not comment on it since I have not studied it in-depth," he said.
The judge granted the motion of the prosecutor's office and gave permission to remove the materials from "TV Pirveli." The case concerns the secret audio recordings that aired on Nodar Meladze's "Shabati," March 6.
