"As soon as the first meeting is held, the parliamentary majority will initiate the establishment of a temporary commission of inquiry into the 2020 parliamentary elections," Irakli Kobakhidze, executive secretary of the Georgian Dream, said.
According to him, all interested parties, including independent experts, non-governmental organizations, and international partners, will be invited to participate in the commission's work.
He said that if a one-percent deviation is still observed, he will leave all political positions and withdraw from political activities.
"Naturally, the parliamentary parties will be involved in the work of this commission. The commission will provide a comprehensive assessment of the elections using various tools, including large-scale counting of precincts. If there is even one percent, we emphasize, even a one percent deviation in favor of the Georgian Dream, the party will announce snap elections. Besides, as the head of the election headquarters of the Georgian Dream, I declare with full responsibility that in that case, I will leave all political positions and completely withdraw from political activities," Kobakhidze said.
