Roman Gotsiridze and Dachi Beraia physically opposed each other in the Parliament. Gotsiridze told reporters, the controversy between him and the deputy of the ruling party was caused by a post written on the social media page.
"I wrote a funny post, and apparently he was against it," Roman Gotsiridze said.
According to Dachi Beraia, Gotsiridze assaulted him, which caused his irritation.
"I would like to apologize to the public for the incident that happened. Roman Gotsiridze is a liar. He was cursing. I pointed out his shameful behavior. My reaction was natural, I couldn't reach him with the hand, and so I kicked him," Beraia told reporters.
"There is a smell of excrements in the Parliament," Roman Gotsiridze, wrote on his social media page.
Resource Officers stabilized the situation.
