Director-General of Lelo opposition party Badri Japaridze has responded to ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili's forceful transfer to the Gldani prison.
''Utterly unjustifiable obstinacy of the Georgian Dream party based on obscure logic and their persistent desire to prevent Mikheil Saakashvili from entering a civilian hospital where his life and safety would have been guaranteed pushed representatives of law enforcement agencies to carry out activities which are offensive and shameful for the country,'' Japaridze declared.
Today, the penitentiary service has released the video footage showing ex-president Saakashvili being taken to the Gldani prison hospital.
