Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan has congratulated Georgian PM Giorgi Gakharia on his reappointment to the post of prime minister.
"Mr. Prime Minister and my dear friend, on behalf of the government of Turkey and me, I cordially congratulate you on re-election as prime minister after successful elections.
I am confident that in these hard times, which I define as opening up new vistas of opportunity for us to re-establish peace and stability in the region, thanks to your wise leadership, our countries will continue the existing strategic cooperation and amicable relations in all fields.
I would like to use this opportunity to wish your excellency health and happiness, and well-being to our friends, the Georgian people. May the New Year bring our countries and our region peace and prosperity," the letter of congratulations reads.
