Georgian Dream Chairman Irakli Kobakhidze defines the requirement of transferring ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili to a civilian hospital as absurd, saying that they just aim to take him out of jail.
''If they decide to provoke the situation seriously to which Saakashvili indicated, nobody, not a single state will manage to protect a civilian clinic. Inmates are kept in jail as jails are provided with maximum safety standards,'' Kobakhidze stressed.
Ex-president Saakashvili, detained on 1 October, has been on a hunger strike for 47 days now.
