At the Georgian Dream briefing, Georgian Dream Executive Secretary Mamuka Mdinaradze said that no matter how hard the opposition will seek to discredit police forces, they will fail to achieve their aim.
In his speech, Mdinaradze thanked police officers for their patience and commitment to performing their duties.
''The public can see that the opposition is employing the most contemptuous methods possible to pursue its defamation campaign and rebuke and insult our law enforcement officers who stand ready to ensure the safety of the country and public.
It is the culmination of their political impudence when people who under their rule did nothing but oppressed our citizens and trampled on the police's uniform are trying to offend police officers who ensure our citizens' safety and freedom 24/7,'' Mdinaradze stressed, adding ''the government will definitely ensure the public's safety, and a response to any attempt to break the law will be strict, within the framework of the law.''
