Georgian Defence Minister Juansher Burchuladze hosted Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Georgia Mark Clayton.
At the meeting, Mr. Burchuladze thanked the ambassador for supporting Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity within its universally recognized borders and for the United Kingdom's significant contribution to the implementation of the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package (SNGP).
The parties focused on the specific aspects of their cooperation and expressed hope that the ties between the two countries would be strengthened. The reference was also made on further cooperation opportunities in the field of defense and military exercises.
One of the main subjects of discussion was the British vessel's pending arrial in Georgia.
