The parliament of Georgia has approved the Amnesty Law on 20 June Developments, with 79 in favor of the law and 25 against.
Majority leader Irakli Kobakhidze said that the project is based on Charles Michel's Agreement; in his words, the UNM signed the agreement after its revocation, and time will soon tell whether it is complying with the repealed document.
According to the Amnesty Project, perpetrators of different offences during the developments of 19-21 June 2019 will no longer be held accountable.
Amnesty will also apply to everyone who attempted to commit a crime back then, and they will not have criminal records.
