Georgian PM Irakli Gharibashvili has met with Gary Jones, the President of BP's Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey Region, at the Administration of the Government of Georgia.

At the meeting, investments by BP in Georgia, which has been involved in close cooperation with the country for 25 years now and has proved to be the country's one of the largest investors, have been discussed.

It was noted that Georgia stands ready to consider different investment fields, including renewable energy project development opportunities.

At the meeting, they focused on the significance of the projects carried out by BP in Georgia, including three large gas and oil pipelines passing through Georgia, Baku-Supsa, and Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipelines operating since 2006, and the South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP), via which gas is delivered to Azerbaijan's, Georgia's and Turkey's markets from the Shah Deniz gas field.
