Giorgi Gakharia, the Prime Minister of Georgia, met with Mevlut Cavusoglu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey.

Gakharia and Cavusoglu discussed deepening strategic partnership.

"We appreciate the relationship with Turkey," Gakharia stated while meting Mevlut Cavusoglu.

During the meeting, the two sides talked about the trilateral format between Georgia, Turkey, and Azerbaijan.

During the meeting between the Prime Minister of Georgia and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, the leaders focused on the next meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council of the two countries, which is planned in Ankara, early next year.

Discussions also focused on joint projects in the field of energy and transport, including the Southern Gas Corridor, and the importance of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway.

The Head of the Government thanked Turkey for its firm support for Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty.

The ministers emphasized the importance of Georgia-Turkey cooperation in culture and underlined the dynamics of high-level bilateral visits.

Tbilisi is hosting a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey.
