Khatia Dekanoidze, a representative of the National Movement, has responded to Tea Tsulukiani's statement on secret surveillance to which the family of Nika Gvaramia, the Director-General of the Mtavari Arkhi (the Main Channel), has been allegedly subjected.
"The government actively encourages telephone tapping and secret surveillance; they are using this against Nika Gvaramia, his spouse, and underage children. Plus, they are not even hiding this," Khatia Dekanoidze said, adding that they stand by everyone who is fighting against this regime.
Tea Tsulukiani, the Chairwoman of the Education Committee, said earlier that she could not understand why or for what reason the government may be spying on the Gvaramias.
