"'According to the rating, the "rule of law" in Georgia is at a higher level than in Italy, Bulgaria, northern Macedonia, and Montenegro," Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili stated at the briefing held after the government session.

As the Prime Minister noted, Georgia ranks fourth among the post-Soviet states after the Baltic states by the rule of law.

"Among 180 countries in terms of "corruption of public officials, Georgia ranked 20th in the world in terms of freedom from corruption and ranked 12th in Europe.

Georgia has surpassed many advanced countries in the world here. Our rating is one and a half times higher than in 9 European countries - Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Malta, Cyprus. As well as South Korea, and two times higher than the rate of Bulgaria, Romania, Greece. With these results, Georgia has equaled the world's leading countries such as the United States, Japan, France, Ireland, Austria, Belgium, Iceland, Slovenia, Croatia, etc.

For comparison, it should be noted that the current assessment of Georgia is three times higher than the level of 2011-2012.

Finally, according to the degree of regulation, Georgia ranked 19th among the 189 member countries of the World Bank in the best platoon in Europe. I would like to congratulate each member of the government and public officials on this success," Irakli Gharibashvili said.
