The President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, congratulates Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili on the Independence Day of Georgia.
The letter of Joe Biden says that as a loyal partner, the United States will continue to support the Georgian people on the path to democratic and economic development.
"Mr. Prime Minister! On behalf of the American people, I would like to congratulate the Georgian people on Independence Day and wish them happiness and health on May 26. We will stand by the Georgian people in their efforts to escape the social and economic influences caused by the new coronavirus. This date creates an opportunity to see the future. When Georgian leaders and citizens think about strengthening the country's independence and Euro-Atlantic aspirations, remember that the United States stands by you. We are grateful to the brave Georgian soldiers in the United States serving alongside our warriors in NATO programs in Afghanistan, and we will continue to support Georgia during its accession to the Alliance. Today my thoughts are with all the people living in Abkhazia and South Ossetia under Russian occupation. The United States remains firmly committed to Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty within its internationally recognized borders," reads the congratulatory letter of Joe Biden, spread by the government administration.
