At Georgian Dream party briefing, GD mayoral candidate Kakha Kaladze said that despite winning more votes than all other candidates, he failed to meet the required threshold of 50% for victory.
In his words, the tense political situation in the country, electoral vote sharing by different candidates, and other factors have resulted in this.
''I may have also failed to do everything required; I may have failed to consider all topical issues. I apologize for this. However, I stand ready to participate in the second round, and I believe we will win with the help of residents of Tbilisi,'' Kaladze declared.
