A confrontation took place at the 62nd polling station in Vazisubani after Nika Melia and the opposition representatives arrived on the spot. After the power outage at the polling station, the mayoral candidate of the capital claimed that an unknown person was spotted stuffing ballot papers in the ballot box.
The situation on the ground escalated when a stranger physically assaulted Melia from behind. Several persons are detained.
Initially, Nika Melia and Beka Davituliani, a representative of the Georgian Dream, verbally confronted each other. It became necessary to mobilize the police on the spot.
The voting process at the polling station has stopped.
