The Minister of Defense of Georgia Juansher Burchuladze met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Georgia Igor Dolgov.
According to the press service, the Minister of Defense thanked the Ukrainian side for supporting Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
"The meeting focused on the security issues of the Black Sea region and the existing challenges.
During the conversation with the Ukrainian diplomat, special attention was paid to the planned visit of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine on the occasion of Georgia's Independence Day.
Issues of cooperation in the field of defense and security were also discussed at the meeting.
The sides emphasized the importance of participating in international exercises, as well as cooperation on military education and rehabilitation of wounded servicemen.
The meeting was attended by the Ukrainian military attaché to Georgia, Colonel Alexander Hurak," the statement said.
