Georgian public defender Nino Lomjaria intends to submit a request to the Strasbourg Court, asking the court to involve her in ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili's case as the third party.
''We have had cases in which the Strasbourg Court agrees to involve public defenders in cases as third parties. We hope that the Strasbourg Court will meet our demand. We will present information we have obtained, including information on his state of health, there,'' Lomjaria declared.
Ex-president Saakashvili, detained on 1 October, has been on a hunger strike for 47 days now.
