Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili has met with European Council President Charles Michel within the framework of his visit to Brussels. 

The high officials discussed all issues at the top of the EU-Georgia agenda. They also focused on the necessity to convey strong messages in the political declaration of the Eastern Partnership Summit and including priority issues for Georgia in it. 

Gharibashvili noted that Georgia's gradual integration into the EU market is paramount for the country and increasing energy and digital connectivity is also significant. 

The Georgian PM thanked the EU Council President for supporting Georgia's EU integration and mentioned that the absolute majority in Georgia chooses the EU, and they want to apply for EU membership in 2024.

At the meeting, they also focused on the current reforms and the importance of continuing the reform passing process.
