"We will proudly leave the mission in Afghanistan and will continue to ensure international peace," the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili stated during his speech at the event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Georgian Defense Forces.

As the head of the government noted, the Georgian soldiers in the mission in Afghanistan showed the Georgian military spirit and established the name of a reliable and trustworthy partner all over the world.

"I would like to emphasize the role of our troops on the country's European integration path and your worthy participation in the NATO mission in Afghanistan, which ends in September. In this mission, our soldiers showed the Georgian military spirit and established the name of a reliable and trustworthy partner all over the world. We will proudly leave the mission in Afghanistan and will continue to ensure international peace in its current formats. Congratulations once again, thank you for your service to the homeland," Irakli Gharibashvili said.
