"I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Allies for their strong support for Georgia's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and non-recognition policies, which the Georgian people greatly appreciate," Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili stated at a joint briefing after meeting with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg.

As the Head of Government noted, Georgia's practical cooperation with NATO is successfully developing within the framework of the Black Sea Security Partnership.

"We welcome NATO's decision to renew its strategic concept. We believe that the open door policy and Georgia's integration into NATO will be properly reflected in this document," he said.

The Head of Government thanked the Secretary-General for his personal efforts and for playing a key role in Georgia's progress in NATO integration.
